BEGINNERS COURSE
This 8-classes course is designed to introduce the new student to Yoga. The concept of alignment and precision in Iyengar Yoga which brings mobility and stability in asanas is taught.
Understanding the human anatomy and the relationship of each asana to different muscle & bone structure in the body .
The distinctive feature of Iyengar Yoga practice is that it focuses on aligning the body in every pose. However, since most students may struggle to get this alignment, the use of props of different kinds to support or assist the body while in the pose. Props help in the alignment of and correction of imbalances between the right and left side of the body with minor adjustments.
Basic standing asanas are taught which would in gaining stability of the body , and strength to the limbs which are the building blocks to graduate to other asans in the next level of class which the student would be progressed to after 12 weeks .The beginners course is a combination of standing, seated, and supine poses to help students in bringing an overall tone in the body while being aware of the breath-body coordination.
This course is a incubator course to graduate to the moderate . intermediate level after 12 weeks.
