Senior Citizens/Wellness Program

There are yoga classes specifically designed for individuals with different abilities, such as those with physical disabilities or chronic conditions. These classes may be referred to as “adaptive yoga” or “inclusive yoga,” and is taught by teachers have training and experience working with people with different abilities. The modifications and adjustments made in these classes can make yoga accessible to individuals who may not be able to participate in traditional yoga classes.

The Program is targeted at a specific audience which could comprise of any of the following

  • Convalescing individuals who need to get back their health and vitality
  • Senior citizens who need to maintain a state of health to sustain them through their sunset years .
  • Women who are passing through a tough period of their womanhood either entering or going through menopause

The body over the years loses its elasticity and mobility if it had not been exercised enough, leading to:

  • Brittleness of the bones in the body structure
  • Loss of body skin sheen
  • Pain/swelling in the joints

The program aims at getting the body into shape by

  • Introducing a series of body movement exercises to bring about more blood circulations to the joints and lubricate them to remove stiffness in the joints which is the bane for senior citizens due to prolonged immobility.
  • A series of Yoga asana to bring about stability in the legs and the body on the whole , as senior citizens are prone to instability of the body and falls.
  • Pranayam to bring about a holistic calmness of the body and mind through breath , resulting in overall well being.
  • Diet plan by an experienced dietician as and when required ( on request )
