Workshops
Samatra Yogashala conducted a Yoga workshop on the premises of the esteemed club on the 18th & 19th of Oct..
Attendance
The attendance was overwhelming considering the short window that we had to advertise and communicate the dates of the workshop . We had a total of 13 members who registered for the workshop and about 8 of them actually attending the workshop . A drop in attendance was due to the fact that 19th happened to be Karva Chauth , and being a festive day , many ladies could not attend the workshop .
The Reception
The workshop was extremely well received and the participants have requested for follow up workshops in Nov .. They felt a definite differential in the form of yoga that they have known, and the form of yoga which is the Iyengar’s Yoga methodology and approach .
Going Forward
We would like to work with you for planning another 2 one day free workshops in Nov ( as requested by the members who attended the first workshop) , and taking forward the proposal that we had placed in the beginning of this year for a regular paid yoga classes .
We would like to reiterate our sincere thanks for the of teh club management for their efforts in promoting Yoga in the r club and providing us with the opportunity to catalyze the same .
The next workshop is planned for the 17th of Nov
Give back what you have taken is the motto of our Yogashala , and its our way of Giving Back to society and community , unconditionally what we have received from Guruji and is our way of being in his service . We believe in the principle of reciprocity of gratitude , and a mindset to promote a cycle of giving to create a more supportive and interconnected Yog community . Its helping others in need , by sharing what we have llearnt and received from our teachers , in the field of Yog .
Our pervasive knowledge dissemination would be through Yoga Workshops conducted in various institutions, clubs, and schools. These workshops would be purely on voluntary donations by these institutions and individuals. The complete proceeds of these voluntary donations would be donated to the Belur Trust Fund , a charitable trust established in Belur under the auspices of Guruji , with an aim to initiate charitable activities, build hospital, and schools, in the ancestral village of Guruji .
At Samatra Yogashala we believe in contributing our small mite in enhancing the lives of the village adopted by RIMYI .
The idea that “giving is better than taking” is a principle deeply rooted in many philosophical, religious, and moral traditions. It emphasizes the value of generosity, compassion, and the positive impact that giving can have on both the giver and the recipient. This is our philosophy that we intend to follow . Guruji on the path that he has laid for us to follow.
